Work With Us!

Get To Know Us

Hello! We’re Jim and Michelle Fisher. For nearly 25 years we lived in an amazing 3300 square foot Victorian home. We fully embraced living in the 19th Century and did many Victorian era activities from going door-to-door and singing Christmas carols (complete with tops hats and hoop skirts), to hosting a Vintage Base Ball Club playing the American Pastime with the rules and customs of the 1860’s.

Jim has an extensive background in professional photography and videography, including 10 years owning and operating a successful photography studio, plus he spent over 20 years working in the home improvement industry. Jim has also worked as a professional voice-over artist.

Michelle has a background in the sewing industry and is an accomplished seamstress and tailor. She homeschooled our two children, worked as a Library Branch Assistant for nearly 20 years, and was the director of Christian Education at our church. She loves to read, sing and has an infectious joyful personality.

In 2021, while on a two week road trip from Michigan to Arizona and back, we decided to sell our house and downsize to a travel trailer. Being empty nesters and desiring a more adventurous life, we sold our home and began to transition from traditional “sticks and bricks” living to downsizing to fit into an Airstream International Serenity 28 RBQ to travel full time across the vast and beautiful United States.

Experience

Jim has worked as a professional photographer and videographer since the 1980’s. He has vast experience in both film and digital photography. He has won many awards for his photography and his work as been featured in numerous publications including:

  • RV News Magazine (feature article and cover)

Jim also has served his former community by being an elected city council member for 10 years including two years as Vice-Mayor. He has also served and a Planning Commissioner and Chairman of the Planning Commission for Port Huron, Michigan. He is a natural public speaker and has also worked as a professional voiceover artist.

Michelle is an excellent teacher and was employed as a Library Branch Assistant for nearly 20 years. She is an engaging story teller and enjoys reading stories to children. She is an accomplished seamstress and cook and is an amazing planner and organizer. She is a new minimalist and enjoys the freedom that the minimalist lifestyle offers.

Michelle is also very energetic and engaging with a sincere love for people and has the ability to quickly relate to people of diverse backgrounds.

According to recent studies, the demographics of RV travel trailer owners in the United States are as follows:

  • Other demographics: RV owners come from a variety of backgrounds, with diverse ethnicities, occupations, and family sizes. RV travel is popular among families with children, retirees, and individuals who enjoy outdoor activities.

The fact that we are traveling in an Airstream means that a larger percentage of our audience will be Airstream owners or people researching to purchase an Airstream.

Airstream travel trailer owners tend to have demographics that differ slightly from the general RV owner population. Here are some key demographics of Airstream owners:

  • Age: Airstream owners tend to be slightly older than the general RV owner population, with an average age of around 57 years old.

  • Marital status: Airstream ownership is most common among married couples, who often use their Airstreams for travel and leisure activities.
  • Geographic location: Airstream ownership is more prevalent in certain regions of the United States, particularly in the Pacific Northwest, California, and the Northeast.
  • Lifestyle: Airstream owners often have a passion for travel, adventure, and the outdoors. They may prioritize eco-friendliness, minimalist living, or a desire for luxury and comfort.
